Archt Rahul Miskeen, Vice President, Design and Planning Glass Wall Systems (India)

The Auditorium of Center of Banking Studies; Rajagiriya was the venue of the third CPD event on “Designing your building façade”.

Archt Rahul Miskeen, Vice President, Design and Planning Glass Wall Systems (India) focused on the design and technical aspects in façade designs in low rise, middle rise and high rise buildings describing various design parameters and techniques. He also spoke on alternative material applications and their performance, properties, aesthetics, suitability, fixing techniques; under various conditions and on sustainability, economic aspects and the testing methods in building façades.

A joint presentation was made by representatives of the German sponors Novoplatik and Ceratech, Prof Kurt Schuemchen and Christoph Dworatzyk on building coating systems.

The presentation focused on important aspects in the selection of a proper paint coating system. The live demonstrations on important parameters in paint coatings, such as application techniques and fire resistance added interest to the presentation.
